Dr Natalia Hegedosh and how to bridge the time.

  • Written by Dr Mirjana Pavlovic, MD, PhD
  • Research and Adjunct Professor Department of Computer and
  • Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Florida Atlantic University 777 Glades Rd, Boca Raton, 33431 Tel: 561-297-2348 Email:mpavlovi@fau.edu, pmirjana@aol.com
  • Introduction: the adventure in nanospace, tissue engineering, and stem cell application
  • It is not easy to find the time to talk to Dr Natalia Hegedosh, the woman who has dedicated her life to innovations that can help people to look and feel younger. Highly educated, polyglot, with several medical diplomas and certificates from both :Ukraine and USA, Dr Hegedosh has focused her interest within Family practice onto Aesthetic Medicine and Cosmetology with a great vision to be once a fountainhead of the Anti-aging Institute, here at this particular location.
  • Her impressive curriculum, reflecting just some of the sparks on this picture, reminds us of the great personalities within bio – and tissue engineering integral efforts, in trying to make this world, and particularly this century the era of improved quality of life, good looking people and longevity. Dr Hegedosh is the developer of one of the best skin care products ” Dermakine” which means “kind to skin”, but very effective due to unique content of ingredients, making it the most required in a now day’s market.
  • To reach this professional level, Dr Hegedosh has been working for years, bridging the two worlds and two different schools, in trying to also bridge the time and help the people feel better and younger. Her positive and straight forward attitude that everybody can be helped with her methods and innovations if the approach is individually adjusted, simply attracts the patients and encourages them to follow her propositions and ideas. She has recently expressed her ideas on the public ceremony of her “Opening House” event together with the writer of this article, and has been very welcomed and accepted.
  • I called her today and she has told me:
  • “Hi Mirjana.
  • Today I did my # 19 PRP procedure. I’m doing better and better each time!
  • Results are fantastic!” I asked her what she is exactly doing.
  • “I have two different techniques – she said:
    • - Mizotherapy Technique and
    • - Deep injection Technique ( filler ).
  • “Explain me, more detailed “-I asked
  • “Pre procedure consultation with each patient is helping me to discuss all patient needs and expectations. Then, we choose the best technique for each individual patient.”
  • “Let us know, what is your innovation, Natalia”
  • “My innovation is: preheating area of treatment by special portable device to create area with faster blood supply, to heat collagen, fibroblasts and other tissue. So is the post treatment to enhance inflammation area for faster and better repair.
  • My innovation is also the recommended post treatment supplement’s and specific vitamin’s mixture to enhance multipurpose stem cells to be activated, to do the best job to repair and to rejuvenate new skin, epidermis and to build up the dermis.
  • Not only that, but also my innovation is to give patient anti aging facial cream with nanotechnology blend of amino acids to introduce direct/topical nutritional elements to facilitate building of new tissues during post treatment. I recommend using that formula 5 times a day during 7 days a week for the best result!”
  • “Are you working on something else?”
  • “I’m also working on complex approach for entire body rejuvenation by patient’s own multipurpose stem cells…
  • What do I see?
  • Clients faces are changing in minutes: from puffy redness, after injection to refreshment in 30 minutes and elimination of the skin non-healthy signs
  • with signs of health and freshness on day 2-3. According to different studies – rebuilt of a new skin is taking 30 to 90 days, or more. So, what I am getting, is an instant result.”
  • “Are there any side effects?”
  • “Of course, there are some minimal side effects as with any injection: redness, some edema, and inflammation, but inflammation in the skin is what we really need- with subsequential tissue repair.”
  • “Natalia, what part of the body is your favorite task?”
  • “I do face, neck, decolte areas, hands with possibility on any other part of body, which needs rejuvenation.”
  • Stem cells, PRP technique, and nanotechnology in order to look and feel younger
  • I was thinking…Natalia knows what she wants and she goes toward her goal with great enthusiasm, knowledge and understanding of what and why she is doing what she does. Adult stem cells are used instead of embryonic today during the conflicts and serious arguments that are still following the possible use of embryonic stem cells, They are regarded the best candidates for regenerative therapy due to their totipotency (possibility to develop in any possible kind of cells). By using a special centrifuge and determined number of rotations per minute, one can get autologous (from the same adult patient’s blood) sample of Plasma, Red blood cells and Platelets (PRP) in enough quantity to be injected into (or rather under) the skin of the part of the body under the treatment. The injection is making stimulative damage that will cause natural process of skin reparation, mobilizing fibroblasts to produce collagen, while injected stem cells will proliferate and self-renew creating a constant pool of newly incoming cells that are yet to be committed to do the certain function. With the time, the commitment within skin tissue is becoming definite, and fibroblasts derived from stem cells will start secreting collagen and other molecules of cells which will, by interplaying with the molecules of extracellular matrix, help the filling of wrinkles (the places in the skin that have lost collagen and cells and are incapable of repairing on their own, e.g. without this stimulation.) This effect of healing process and stem cell differentiation in right direction with right commitment at the end of stem cell maturation will engineer and repair the damaged skin properly, so that it will look more elastic and less wrinkled.

  • Plasma in the sample already contains all molecules (cytokines, growth factors) necessary for support of successful reparation of the skin and platelets, who also have their own “package” of regenerative molecules, will disappear with the time since they are not cells in the right sense of the word and they cannot live long, but can help healing process for a while. The skin will be rejuvenated and the patient irradiating a smile without wrinkles.
  • Nanotechnology has helped within last ten years incredible development of drug delivery, creating different shells, wraps or nanocapsules for targeted, individual drug therapy. Within this nano-particles those that are delivering the supplements into the skin only, are biodegradable, but biocompatible and while they are degrading on the right place of injury they are expressing their theraputical effects.
  • This is advancement in comparison to methods of the others, in terms of shorter timing and better post-injection treatment with careful follow-up of new regrowth and establishment of tissue homeostasis.
  • The science behind the approach
  • PRP has been used in maxillofacial surgery since the 1980s to enhance bone regeneration, bone density and teeth implant survival in women with osteoporosis. Due to its healing properties — PRP consists of plasma that is enriched with concentrated platelets containing white blood cells — it has since gained popularity in dentistry, cardiothoracic surgery, ear, nose and throat medicine, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, orthopedic medicine, wound healing and musculoskeletal medicine.
  • Platelets are known to initiate healing in the body and have the ability to repair collagen. When chronic inflammatory and degenerative changes occur within nonhealing tissues, injecting a concentration of platelets to injured tissues can help release a higher strength of growth factors — the most important of which include epidermal growth factor; platelet-derived growth factor; transforming growth factor beta; insulin-like growth factor; vascular endothelial growth factor and basic fibroblast growth factor. These substances stimulate cell growth, cell migration, new blood vessel growth, differentiation, recruitment and collagen synthesis to facilitate optimal healing. Research has shown the concentration of growth factors in PRP is four to seven times higher than in whole blood.
  • When we process PRP in our office, we aim for this ideal concentration of platelets. It is this concentration that releases signals to the body that attract stem cells to the area,” says Dr. Hegedosh. “The presence of stem cells is essential to maximizing the healing environment for injured or degenerated tissue. In essence, you are enhancing the body’s ability to heal itself through the use of PRP.”
  • Love and trust behind science
  • In one of our first conversations, Dr Hegedosh told me an important secret: “My first patient was my husband on whom I did the very first procedure, and who trusted me so much that he could “offer” his face, because he knows that I have the best steady hands to inject into the most delicate part of our body – face… He trusted me his face first.
  • After procedure, my husband’s face texture started improving day by day and now, in 6 months, his chronic inflammation – rosacea is cured completely. Besides, he got so many compliments at work, how good he is looking!”
  • I was going home, after talking to this amazing woman, and being myself researcher in stem-cell field for many years, I was thinking at the same time how the intellect, strength and sensibility, can live within one person and enlighten the road toward the brighter future, of others.
